Your support will help sustain Mosaic.
Launched in 1998, Mosaic is a web and print magazine exploring the literary arts by writers of African descent. Each issue contains a unique blend of profiles, book reviews, and literature lesson plans.
Mosaic is produced by the Literary Freedom Project, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt not-for-profit arts organization that supports the literary arts through education, creative thinking, and new media. The Literary Freedom Project provides educators with literary arts lesson plans based on the content of each issue of Mosaic. Each plan uses the work by writers of African descent as a connective tool to a variety of subjects: history, social studies, and English. Our goal is to increase self awareness while promoting reading and strengthening literacy.
